[TCCN Bukuru, JOS] - In a heart-wrenching tale of survival and resilience, the Kefiano Global Foundation has opened its arms once again, welcoming two children from the Mangu Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp. This was the remaining set of new adoptees as part of the eight (8) kids that were received last month. Among the new arrivals is a little girl whose story of courage transcends the boundaries of tragedy.
This young angel not only endured the loss of both parents but miraculously survived a bullet that passed through her back. Rescued from a horrifying fate, she was mistakenly assumed dead on her late mother's back until fate intervened. The courageous child now faces a new chapter in her journey, one that involves battling health challenges that impede her mobility. Her legs, which bore the weight of unspeakable trauma, are now unable to carry her body, rendering her dependent on the support of those around her.
The Kefiano Global Foundation, known for its unwavering commitment to providing a lifeline to those in need, has pledged to do everything within its power to offer the necessary support to aid the young girl's feet. This commitment goes beyond the realm of charity; it symbolizes a beacon of hope for a child who has faced the darkest corners of human adversity.
Mrs. Jennifer Kangrot speaking on behalf of the foundation offered her insights on the matter. “These two lovely children are part of the ten that our CEO had initially promised to adopt but due to beauracratic hurdles and the necessary paperworks not getting done in time, we could not get them when the eight that were initially adopted came but we thank God it has been finalised and they now have another chance at life”
Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik spoke on the importance of this development “Like I usually say, I dont find joy in doing this because nobody wants to be in this position but its due to the need that we have to extend a helping hand to these lovely kids. it is not my duty alone, but a collective effort to see that their dreams are realised. I still want to use this avenue to call on other well meaning Plateau indigenes with the capacity to try and adopt even if its one child. Together we can make great change”
As the foundation mobilizes resources and expertise to address the unique health challenges faced by this resilient survivor, the broader community is invited to join hands in this noble cause. The tale of this young girl not only serves as a testament to the strength of the human spirit but also calls upon the collective compassion of society to uplift those who have faced unimaginable hardships.
The Kefiano Global Foundation remains a shining example of how collective efforts can bring light into the lives of those grappling with the shadows of despair. In this new chapter, as the foundation extends its support to a young girl who defied the odds, it reinforces the belief that every child, regardless of their past, deserves a chance at a brighter future.
