CHIEF KEFAS CELEBRATES THE GRADUATION CEREMONY OF MIRACLE KEFAS, THE HEADBOY AT TCNN SECONDARY SCHOOL
A proud father could not contain his joy at the graduation ceremony in Jos
Reflecting on the journey from the time he adopted these children and their progress up until this moment, a humble, proud and grateful Chief Kefas could not hide his tears of joy as he watched their presentation.
At the graduation ceremony of one of the 10 children adopted by the philanthropist at the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) facility in Bukuru, Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik was clearly in a good mood as he exchanged pleasantries with the school administration and others present.
“This is the happiest day of my life, I feel very proud, am seeing one of the child I adopted within the past six years graduating today. If you look at the overall performance, my kids were the best and I cannot be more proud.
In their respective classes, Chief Kefas’s children were able to scoop all the awards due to their remarkable academic performance and the joy on their faces were visible as they posed for pictures with their awards
Miracle Kefas, who also happens to be the school's head boy and one of the adopted kids, was pleased that his father's promise to attend his graduation came to fruition. He delivered an incredibly moving speech that enthralled the crowd and made them marvel at the young child's fortitude.
He began his speech by saying thanks to the people who made the day possible for him and his class mates.
“A journey of a thousand miles they say, begins with a step, graduating from this school is an important step in our academic pursuit, to God be the glory. On behalf of my fellow graduating mates, I wish to use this medium to express our profound gratitude to our parents and guardians for your love, care, prayer, provision, goodwill and investing in us”
Acknowledging the immense contribution of his tutors and school management, he said,
“I want to use this medium to appreciate the school management and all the staff for impacting in us, not only academically but also spiritually, socially, morally and otherwise. We are highly indebted to you and we pledge our loyalty to you”
Miracle thanked everyone for making it possible and enjoined his fellow graduants to be good ambassadors of the college when they go outside the walls of the school’s premises. Speaking to reporters outside, he was asked his journey so far with his father to which he said
“When we were in Barkin Ladi, Fulani attacked our house and killed my parents, I hid behind a tlevision carton, thats how they did not see me and they killed the rest. Thank God for Chief Kefas who adopted me and gave me a roof over my head and a school to go to. I want to say thank you to my daddy, may the Lord bless you, anything the Lord say is yours, nobody can snatch it away from you and I am praying the Lord will help those who are in need and the Lord will help them in Jesus name.”
Chief Kefas gaggled with few reporters on his way out of the premises and he called on other well meaning citizens of Plateau state to adopt at least a child.
“My prayer is for God to give me the strength to keep on being there for these children. I want to call on everybody that God is blessing, adopt a child and see how you can give people hope, for me its humanity first. What can you be remembered for if you fall down and die tomorrow”
He hinted at plans to build a school for the orphans in the near future
“At times, it is not your biological children that will come out with flying colours or be great tomorrow. I will keep doing more and I will not relent. My prayer is one day, I will get a school for the orphans and it will be free continously so that we can see how we can add value to the society”
So nauseating and inspiring.
Life actually is a product of opportunity.
All thanks to Nde Kefas for giving hope against all odds.
God bless you sir our principal, you are true the father of nations you have a pure heart, god will reward you in abonudans. Live long CHIEF KEFAS.
